Recent News

2015-09-07: Our paper called "SR-Tesseler: a method to segment and quantify localization-based super-resolution microscopy data" has been accepted for publication in Nature Methods.

Research

After obtaining my PhD in computer vision at the LaBRI in 2006, i worked for several years on diverse segmentation and quantification problems for the Bordeaux Imaging Center. Since 2012, i’m a full-time research engineer in the Quantitative Imaging of the Cell and i’m working extensively on new representation and quantification methods for super-resolution microscopy, with a strong focus on Single-Molecule Localization Microscopy (SMLM).

Past noteworthy projects

  • I have developed an automatic segmentation of capsids acquired in transmission electron microscopy. This work was a combination of several techniques (wavelet filtering, pixel-based skeletonization, graph-based identification) and was implemented as an ImageJ plugin (paper).
  • I implemented a complete visualization and quantification software for analyzing data obtained by the uPAINT during its development. This was a stand-alone software developed in c++.
