FluoSim demonstration movie

This 6 min high definition video (1GB) shows the capabilities of FluoSim, a simulator of single molecule dynamics dedicated to fluorescence imaging. The program uses protein diffusion coefficients and binding rates, as well as fluorophore photo-switching rates to calculate in real time the motion and intensity of thousands of independent molecules in arbitrary 2D cellular geometries, providing simulated data of protein dynamics and localization. FluoSim thus allows the simulation of several types of live-cell imaging experiments including Single Particle Tracking, Fluorescence Recovery After Photobleaching, PhotoActivation of Fluorescence, and Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy, and the generation of super-resolved images comparable to Single Molecule Localization Microscopy.
