Visit of the CNRS President, Antoine Petit, and Younis Hermes, Délégué régional Aquitaine, at the Broca Center Nouvelle-Aquitaine

Recently appointed President and Regional Delegate Aquitaine of the CNRS, Antoine Petit and Younis Hermes were welcomed by the directors of IINS and IMN, Daniel Choquet and Erwan Bézard this Tuesday, May 15th.
After a presentation of the Institutes, they met researchers and visited some laboratories.

Antoine Petit came to Bordeaux to present and discuss the main lines of his strategy. To the local Directors of units gathered, he outlined the CNRS priorities: support basic research at the highest level worldwide; work with industrial and economic actors on disruptive innovations; rebuilding partnerships with autonomous universities; promote interdisciplinarity; to play a leading role in the presence of French research at the international level; bring a culture and scientific expertise to decision-makers and society.
